This intensive presentation training workshop delivered over two half days, covers every aspect of presentation skills, from profiling your audience to delivering the presentation clients want to hear

Delivered by industry experts from the Core Learning team, the workshop is aimed at client-facing designers, account managers and creative teams who pitch and present work on a regular basis.

Course Content

  • Profiling your audience and producing bespoke presentations
  • Anatomy of a presentation and how to pitch effectively
  • Building and structuring a targeted presentation
  • Building credibility and capturing immediate interest
  • Handling questions and answers, and audience responses
  • How to enhance your physical presence: improve your stance and posture, tone of voice, language
  • Presenting as a team, communicating chemistry and avoiding pitfalls

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the workshop you will know how to:

  • Structure your presentation around the key questions your audience want answered
  • Storyboard, outline and refine a presentation to ensure it flows and tells an impactful story
  • Stand and move while presenting
  • Combat nerves and master the opening first slide
  • Make the most of your voice range
  • Apply advanced rhetorical techniques to stand out from the crowd

Meet our Presentation Skills Experts

Gemma Gilmore is Client Director

She is a Client Director at Spark Foundry where she began her career and has worked for nearly seven years. She has guest lectured in DCU with final year BSc Marketing, Innovation and Technology students. Gemma sits on the IAPI Future heads Committee and is responsible for organising events such as one on one mentoring sessions for those in the early stages of their advertising career. She also MCs events such as the Advertising Expo, which looks to recruit final year students from every background, not just advertising and marketing, into our industry. She holds a BSc. Sport Management from UCD, an MSc Marketing from DIT and is Google AdWords Certified. Her Client experience is extensive working across all sectors, including Mars Wrigley, Nissan, ESB and Electric Ireland, BWG, HSE, Health & Safety Authority and more. Successful campaigns she’s worked on include HSE Quit, which won Gold at the 2012 AdFX, the annual SPAR Twitter Tree Christmas campaign, Electric Ireland’s 2010 launch and the Galaxy Style Exchanges which was the most successful local activation for Mars Ireland.

Hannah-Louise Dunne is Head of Content Partnerships at Core.

Hannah-Louise Dunne joined Core in 2014 and set up a content team within the company’s digital agency, Radical. Prior to joining Radical, she worked for over 7 years as a journalist contributing to titles including the Evening Herald, the Sunday Independent, You magazine, the Irish Independent’s Weekend magazine and a six-year-tenure with the Irish Daily Mail, where she served as Showbusiness Editor, covering culture, entertainment and showbusiness news each year. Since joining Core, she has led a team to win two global content marketing awards in the Content Marketing Awards in the US, including the award for Best Content Marketing Program in Technology – for Tech/Life Ireland – beating out Microsoft and Salesforce in the process. She is passionate about the craft of story-telling and believes in engaging with new platforms, immersive technologies and insightful partners to deliver stories, experiences and content that audiences want to consume. Her client experience includes working across content and amplification strategy & creative content creation for key clients across the public and private sector including AIB, First Trust Bank, AIB GB, Aer Lingus, Enterprise Ireland, Electric Ireland, Innopharma, McDonald’s Ireland, the Department of Taoiseach, the National Lottery, the RSA and Littlewoods Ireland. She has served on the Future Council for the Marketing Society (2015-2017), as a judge in the National Newspapers of Ireland Awards (2017) and has completed guest lectures in content strategy in DIT Aungier Street.
