A one-day intensive training workshop aimed at client-facing designers, account managers and creative teams who pitch and present work on a regular basis.

Delivered by industry experts from the Core Learning team, the workshop covers every aspect of presentation skills, from profiling your audience to delivering the presentation they want to hear.

Course Content

  • Profiling your audience and producing bespoke presentations
  • Anatomy of a presentation and how to pitch effectively
  • Building and structuring a targeted presentation
  • Building credibility and capturing immediate interest
  • Handling questions and answers, and audience responses
  • How to enhance your physical presence: improve your stance and posture, tone of voice, language
  • Presenting as a team, communicating chemistry and avoiding pitfalls

At the end of the workshop you will know how to:

  • Structure your presentation around the key questions your audience want answered
  • Storyboard, outline and refine a presentation to ensure it flows and tells an impactful story
  • Stand and move while presenting
  • Combat nerves and master the opening first slide
  • Make the most of your voice range
  • Apply advanced rhetorical techniques to stand out from the crowd
  • Present as a coherent team

About The Trainers

Caroline Hughes is a presentation skills expert. Business Director at Mediaworks since 2017, she began her career in London at Mindshare. Caroline delivers courses in presentation skills to a people from all sectors and occupations. Her extensive client-facing experience spans across many sectors, including Retail (Argos & M&S), Technology (LG), FMCG (Coca Cola, Mars and Unilever ) and Insurance (Liberty & Irish Life).

Emer Lawn delivers training in social media management, online public relations, media planning and buying and advanced presentation skills. Emer is a Licenced Business Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Pace University in New York. She holds diverse client experience with the likes of KBC Bank, Lidl, McDonalds, the Road Safety Authority, Liberty Insurance and more. She has excelled in her work with these brands becoming award-winning, with multiple golds in the Media Awards, Digital Media Awards and beforehand, leading the Radical team to Social Media Agency of the year for multiple years in a row.
